Stencil Stone Wall

Instead of painting a solid color give your room a unique look with stencil stone wall patterns. This can help your create an outdoor feel or one of indoor in a medieval castle!

If you can dab paint through the openings of a stencil then you can create many different looks on your walls. Working with Trompe Loeil Stencils is a unique way to add a very personal touch to your home and add exciting interest to walls, door, furniture or cabinets.

Just a hint: The wall was painted first with the color desired for the grout or in between lines of the stencil stone wall. Then a small sea sponge was used and dabbed into several paint colors to give each stone a natural look. Once the stencil was removed, the lines were dulled by sponging and blurring the grout lines again for a natural stone look.

A couple of good compliments to a stencil stone would would be flower stencils or a grapevine stencil.
