So you’re looking for some wall stencils to download? You must have come to the conclusion that this is the best way to get your project started now. I bet you’re like me and when you get an idea you want to jump on it right away while those creative juices are flowing. Well, you’ve come to the right place.



You know you can get stencils at any craft supply store or on-line. But you don’t want to wait on the mail man or pay for shipping. Besides, downloadable stencils are much less expensive because the costs for materials, manufacturing and warehousing are not passed on to you.

These wall stencils to download are not just the typical free stenciling patterns that you find on the internet. You know, the ones that just let you create a silhouette of an image in one color. If you think that your wall stencils to download and print can only be used once because it’s on paper then think again. There are many ways to preserve your paper stencils for permanent use. My favorite way is to use a layer of clear shelf liner to cover the front of the stencil before you cut out the design. I always do just the front because a slick back coating can encourage paint to seep under and smear your image.

You can trace the designs from your wall stencils to download on sheets of mylar or acetate that you can purchase at craft supply or office supply stores. Perhaps you can even find clear material that will work in your printer allowing you to print directly on the clear sheets. Just be careful and make sure that you get the right material for your printer.

If you want to get started now and don’t have any mylar, acetate or clear shelf liner, then run strips of clear shipping tape over the entire page with edges just slightly overlapping. The idea is that you want to get a good protective cover.
